mk2sooper 0 Posted May 6, 2008 bills need to be paid so i have to start selling possesions :) mk2 1600 super maroon/black cherry . no mot , it lapsed but all i can see to put it through is a small hole in the drivers footwell and some new discs and pads ( pulls to the right slightly when braking hard downhill , not noticeable otherwise . might even be a lazy caliper ) no headlining / carpet or gearknob . drivers door drops a little .has brand new 105speed manifold and system and hasnt been anywhere since fitting , its no concourse but its solid underneath ( except the small hole in footwell ) just rough around the edges . its filthy at the moment but its hot and sunny and everyone has their prefered method of cleaning not long after i got it scabby blemish filler and an underneath to show its not rusty vandal damage  im in lincolnshire , like i said it has no mot and hasnt been anywhere for a couple of months so will need trailering . if you dont want the exhaust that could be negotiable as a mate has a mk1 it would fit as for price :juggle: £1400 or less without the exhaust but thats not a strict price ( nobody wants to say a low price and then regret it a when it sells the next day )

FredTransit 0 Posted July 5, 2008 Despite what you have said, not having an MOT may put a lot of people off. The brakes on my Mk1 transit pull to the right, but they still get through the test. put some fibreglass on that hole (we all know it doesn't make the car a death trap) and sell it with an MOT. £40 to spend on a car worth over a grand should be a good investment. Specially if you end up putting it on ebay. If you feel really bad about the hole in the foot well, and repaired it gets through the test, tell the buyer. It will probably be bought as a rolling resto anyway, so it's no biggy.

the-ford-cortina.com 226 Posted July 6, 2008 "and it not a gt-1600e" find another maroon super on the site , infact find another maroon super anywhere ! Yes you would think that would make it worth more , but sadly it doesnt work like that. Still the car may well bring £1400 if you MOT it and ebay it ,but you really do need to get that ticket.
