rear arch lip

after setting up the mk2 on superlites, fitting new shocks and lowering blocks the car was ok for a year now the nearside wheel is fouling the arch

i only need to remove about half an inch dont want to damage it whats the best way? cutting it or rolling it up and hows the best way to do it

I cut mone, but as i had gone past the spot welds, I had to seam weld the egde afterwards, It may be an option to fit a panhard rod to centeralise the axle,

 

I my opoinion the best handling addition you can fit to a leaf sprung car,

Are your rear springs still on original type rubber bushes?

You may find your rear axle/springs will move less sideways on harder poly or nylon bushes.

Also, with the 7" superlites, I've heard it is possible to machine the back of the wheel centre (giving you less offset, and more arch clearance).
