danb 4 Posted July 11, 2009 managed to get time to start work changing the whineing diff on the mk2 today, realised i couldnt get the halfshaft puller between the axle and the wall in my garage done a bit of shunting with the car on the jack and made enough room phew!! was expecting the old diff to be 4.1 as ive been told autos had these but the tag says its a 3.9 dunno until i finish getting it out tommorrow if its been wrongly tagged or has always been a 3.9 ratio since the car was built anyone know if autos did have 4.1 ratio ? now the cars manual was hopping the 3.9 diff would be better hopefully this one dont whine! tag from my axle wrongly tagged ill find out tommorrow Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
