MK5 0 Posted September 25, 2009 Made the heartbreaking decision to sell her and move on. As you know she was a 2.3 but was converted to a carbed 2.8. She has 18mm ARB, electric mirrors and 2.3 back axle. She needs a respray and will need welding and power steering pipes for an MOT. Think there may be a problem with the handbrake too. Come with a garage full of spares, including 2 new pattern wings, 2 new Gaz front shocks, polybushes, GLS door cards and tons of other stuff Ideal restoration project... Selling as complete lot only, not prepared to split, this is heartbreaking enough Car is in Woking and will need trailering as no tax or test. Currently SRN, V5 present. PM me for more info or to make an offer etc

MK2 Steve 1 Posted October 24, 2009 Gail, I'm shocked that you could ever part with a Cortina never mind "Tina" and as for selling such an iconic piece of engineering for a piece of German **** I just can't understand. Mercedes yes, but BMW??? Sorry but in my opinion there is no compromise, why on earth would you sell "Tina for a BMW??

Mercedes yes, but BMW??? Sorry but in my opinion there is no compromise, why on earth would you sell "Tina for a BMW?? personal circumstances including ill health "forced" the sale Nina my Cortina was German... as a 2.3 she was build there... and trust me there is nothing **** about my BMW... excellent build quality and reliability, not to mention comfort... it broke my heart to sell my Cortina, it was the last thing I wanted to do... and I'm not prepared to detail my reasons... but one thing I do know it that my BMW is certainly no compromise
