door seals mk2 4 door

Recommended Posts

A mate of mine fitted an EKT screen rubber on his mk2 last year, I think their mk2 windscreen rubbers must have been improved/re-tooled, as this one had the proper moulded corners.

i got a screen rubber from them it has got moulded corners on it if i new how to put pictures on here i would let you see

You need to upload your pics to an album accessible via internet, e.g. www.photobucket.com

From the image in photobucket copy the tag shown:

and when you are posting it on BSC it will look like this:

Hi all. Just an update on the door seal situation. Just rang EKT to ask why i havent received a refund yet when they got them back on the 2nd and was told they hadn't got round to it yet! He said he was going to ring me and ask why i was the only one in the world who had complained about them and couldn't get them to fit.He told me they are better than the original ford ones and they sell hundreds a year with no complaints. He also told me they supply burtons and the ford 1600e owners club buy theirs from them as well so i would be wasting my time buying from them as they are the same ones.

I don't know what to make of it all and its taking the fun out of restoring my cortina

ahhh the old "but no one else complains" talk eh? Exactly the same reply as I got when I went back to him about both the door seals and the headlining I had off of him. I guess I can't have been complaining either then eh?

Also, unless I'm very much mistaken, I'm not quite sure how it is he thinks the E club are selling his door rubbers - as Banger said above - the E club ones are comeplete with moulded corners and studs in just the right places, as per original, and not just extrusion piece cut off a long roll that is far too fat to fit anyway.

does anyone know how easy they are to fit? is it a case of cooking oil and the string trick seen it on telly but not sure if it would be easy.
