Pin-stripe on a 1600E

Don't some series 2 1600Es have a double stripe , one thick and one thin ?

As far as I was aware the stripe should be a single pin stripe but I maybe wrong.

 

Its a single pin stripe I'm fitting anyway.

not from factory as far as i know, maybe it was a common replacement/upgrade when Ford had these double stripes on other cars like MK2 Escort, MK4 Cortina etc. :thumbup: ?

I'm probably thinking of Mk2 Escort then , there is a Series One to Two difference though ? slightly thinner ?

factory I believe for the pin stripe on the Es, dealer option for the Lotus flash

ok Steve, took a bit longer as intended, as i had to borrow my sisters notebook (my computer is again out of order, i really should invest in a new one, but with this stuff i m always very thight with money ;) ). measures are approximately taken from the upper edge of the pressing and the bottom of the trimline, as the red mark should show.

i have noticed that the panelpressings are a bit inaccurate if you view the moulding of the rear door compared with the rear 1/4panel but off course the stripe should run straight, if you know what i mean:
