Decky75 0 Posted April 10, 2010 Hi all hope someone has an idea I have changed the clutch on my mk2 cortina 1600e, today unfortunatly after several hours of swearing it still wont go into gear, so i was thinking just now as this has been bugging me could i have put the bearing on wrong way. the smooth rounded side to the clutch plate or the flat side to clutch plate,which way is it? anyone help please. look forward to any advice. :mellow: Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

The only time ive every come across it myself was when i trapped/jammed the clutch putting gearbox back in on a mk2 escort (jammed on the shaft) defective clutch???
