Engine looks and sounds like it runs really sweet. Definitely like that colour combo, looks the part.

Yeh, gave me a little hassle at first as the points had opened slighty as I didnt tighten them up enough. Had me testing loads of stuff as I couldnt understand where my spark had gone lol

Ta Jayne, Radio 2 all the way!

Bonnet underside coming on. Rust removed, Kurust applied, primer on and filler primer where needed:

Got my heater matrix out as my foam had arrived to stick on it but found it had a hole:

Cant remember it having that when I saw it last, must have cyber rats lmao.

Tried to solder it but it just doesnt take on aluminium. My main parts supplier (Dave) came up with a replacement last night. Trouble is, when I came to fit it today the inlet and outlet are in the wrong place to go through the plate:

Just bypassed it for now:

I will buy an Ali soldering rod and solder mine up I think.

I had the same problem and now have a selection of covers - if you like, send me the distance between the pipes and I'll see if I have the right one.

Bring it back to mine on Saturday and we'll see if I have the right plate for it or swap it for a different one.

Thanks for the offer Jayne. I am off to Daves today so should be ok :)

Bit more on the underside of the bonnet:

I did this with rattle cans as I only just have enough left of my origional can of paint to cover 1 side of the bonnet, so I want it to be the top so it matches lol. Ran out of cans so I am going to put sound deadening on the flat bits that I have left unsprayed.

Looks good in the pic but there are a few scratches from poor prep lmao.

The interior is all in now and looks good. I ran this gaiter up on the sewing machine:

Decided to cut the door cards and fit speakers:

The finished article - its not origional (although I have all the origional parts) as I prefer the higher spec dash and wheel etc:

Am now sorting the rear lights and splicing in 12N and 12S sockets for towing.
