monks 0 Posted November 24, 2010 Ok so my photo did make it up in lights.... I will continue As you can see by the first photo the car wasnt in a bad shape but bad enough. Next stage was to strip her bare, down to the original primer or metal, whichever came first. after that a good couple coats of barcoat......Then..... Give her a good few thick coats of 2pack high build primer........Then Give her a good flat down and reprime in places where I went through......Then Off to work where we have a spray booth. This shows the car half masked with a few coats of dark down the sides.... then As if by magic it was all painted, clear coated, sanded back and polished. The painting process done in a day the rest of the work took 110 hours......Many more hours are to follow building it up again....

monks 0 Posted November 26, 2010 Door seals, window scrapers, boot seal, front and rear screen rubbers and roof lining have just turned up, I'm gonna be busy this weekend. Does anyone know what battery fits the cortina? I have got quite a narrow battery tray, the Unipart listing is wrong.... Also bonnet buffers, I had a box of bits when I bought the car, what do the bonnet buffers look like? Monks
