the-ford-cortina.com 226 Posted November 28, 2010 Before I start on the roof lining is it worth trying to fit it or shall I send it back? Does the 1600e club sell the roof lining? Is it any good? what price is it.. Going off grahams experiance , open it up and measure the distances between sewing and compare with the original first

G.O 20 Posted November 28, 2010 its the distances between where the bars fit in that they messed up on Grahams if thats right it should be ok Aye, their stitching was fine, they just couldn't measure properly  No reason why if the panels are measured out properly it shouldn't do a job. As an aside, in an effort to work out what the distances between the seams should be, we went and measured the headlinings on 5 other MkIIs, three of which were known to have their original headlining, 1 was definitely aftermarket, the other we weren't sure about. WE got 5 different sets of measurements, so it would seem Ford weren't too good are measuring either

paulsv24 0 Posted November 29, 2010 When I bought some chrome windscreen trim from there it went all crinkly straight away when the car was being sprayed (probably the oven) and I had to get some more which was better but parked up in the sun this year, the new trim crinkled up too  not very impressed.
