hi trying to locate a set of standard pistons for an essex v6 3.0 or may consider another good running engine , cheers

Hi Burtons claim to have some http://www.burtonpower.com/parts-by-category/engine-components/pistons-rings/fv120ks-std.html though £50 each; and I'd try the Turbosport forum too. Bound to have been a few people there blow one of these engines up

I have a good, standard engine complete except for the carb.

 

I've a video of the motor running in my Cortina somewhere and another showing the oil pressure when cold and warm.

 

I swapped it for the slightly hotter engine I've got in mine at the moment and it's been sat in the garage for the last year. If you want it, I would be willing to sell, but don't want to let it go for nothing as it's sods law I will end up needing this spare one in 6 months time.

Got a standard essex v6 bottom end just lying in my garage.Bought it from a forum member who said it was in good running order,had plans to drop it in a cortina and started taking it apart to modify it.You can have the block,crank,pistons conrods etc all still intact for £30.Never seen it running,but it turns by hand,and the sleeves still look spot on.I live in Lincoln.
