Don't know if this helps as mine was a mk5 Mikey boy. But there were three badly rusted and knackered bolts at the drivers door end bolting to the A pillar. One in the middle one at the top and one at the bottom.

On mine there were...

- 6 or so screws on the drip rail

- 2 bolts joining the front edge of the wing to the front valence

- a screw at the bottom of the rear corner of the wing, on the outside, near the jacking point

- 3 quite hard to get to screws on the inside rear edge of the wing, fixing it to the A-post

It was also stuck on hard with bitumen, so even when all the screws were removed it was still fixed on!

True. On my original wing some numpty had run a bead of weld right down where it joined the front valence. :gun:

I HAD ONE WHERE I HAD TO TAKE A BLOW TORCH TO THE UNDERSEAL, IT WAS ON THERE THAT THICK, AND THEN A HAMMER AND A CARVING KNIFE, WHICH I BROKE, TO BREAK THE SEAL BETWEEN THE WING AND THE MOUNTING RAILS, THAT WAS FUN !

Hmm,sounds like it may not be so straightforward then... :headscratch:

i take it the 3 screws/bolts holding it to the a-pillar are undone from inside the wheelarch rather than in the cabin behind the door hinges etc?

ITS NOT THAT BAD TO DO, I USED TO TAKE MY WINGS OFF EVERY YEAR TO CHECK THE INNER WINGS AND STRIP AND RE-UNDERSEAL IF NEED BE,

LIKE HAS BEEN SAID TAKE OUT THE TOP SCREWS, THEN THE THREE ON THE A POST, THEN THE ONE THAT IS UNDER THE A POST FIXING THE WING TO THE SILL, THEN THE TWO THAT HOLD IT TO THE FRONT VALANCE, THERE ARE USALLY TWO SMALL SELF TAPPERS ON THE PART ON THE WING BY THE INDICATORS AND HEADLIGHTS HIDDEN BY THE GRILL NORMALLY, IT IS JUST BELOW THESE TWO SCREWS THAT THE TACK WELD USALLY IS, SHOULDN'T TAKE TO LONG TO REMOVE, EASY WHEN YOU KNOW HOW !
