Haha. 

There is a backing plate on e-bay which matches the plate on the left in the first photo above. These are for the later cars with the proper halogen bulbs.

I am going to go for this then all i need to finish these of as a matching set will be the headlights with the Halogen logo.

The ones on the right in the photo are for the earlier cars and will be for sale.

Anyways, an update.

Fitted an electric aerial to the top of the near side wing (yeah I know, why didn't I just fit it to a front wing and make life easy for myself??) Nah,

Spikey hole in the side of the pillars was done by the guys who fitted the sunroof for drainage waaaay back when (maybe when the car was new?). There is a rubber tube that runs inside the pillars but they are a tad short now so this is a job to sort out as well.

Tubes are mk3 Escort door ones and cost a few quid off ebay. 

So, doors back on, mirrors fitted, wiring now goes into the car and the doors built back up.

Can I ask what the part number/name is of your Door To A Pillar Rubber Wiring boot is?? Ive got speaker wires and alarm wires there and no boot😒

Yes, the spots would have to go.

Not a problem really, as others have said it would be too overpowering with all that lot!!!
