Patrick MkIV 0 Posted July 17, 2011 Yes it will 'fit', but mk5 stuff ain't exactly mk4... better to get decent replacement originals, or have rhem recovered, or put mk3 interior in...
Nashy 4 Posted July 18, 2011 The mk5 front seats will be higher up & therefore Your head will be nearer to the roof ... Be aware of this if You are tall (6ft plus). I know this as I've got mk5 seats in My mk5 estate (the mk5 Estate runs the mk4 roofline). The door cards & wood cappings fit straight on. If you are converting it over to the door cards with the wood cappings ... You will need to fit the Inner weatherstrips onto the doors, as the door cards that don't go with the wood cappings have them built-in. I hope this helps. Aaron.
FKLGLS 44 Posted July 18, 2011 It will fit, but the front door cappings are recessed on a mk5 where the door mirror is mounted - mk4's don't have this recess as the mirror is not mounted within the door glass frame, but on the door itself. Also, if the car you are fitting the trim to is not a ghia or crusader, then you'll need the window rubber that clips into the door otherwise the window will rattle about unsupported at the top. Base, L,GL,S models have this rubber on the top of the doorcard whereas ghia and crusader don't.
