Superb pics Graham, and those pics bring back some great memories!

Had a spot of bad luck on the Cortinas to Cortina trips in 2002 and 2007 though...

A close encounter with a traffic sign on the border to Germany in my 1966 mk1GT in 2002.

And a broken clutch hose in my 1967 mk2 in 2007.

For the full story from the 2007 trip, see

http://www.buysellcortina.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/20747-cortinas-to-cortina-07/

Then the clutch hose failed when going up to the St Gothard pass (holed plastic hose, too close to the exhaust manifold...).

I'm looking thoughful, while co-driver Paul Chandler and Graham Orchard inspects the damage

We got up to the pass, and spent 2 hours in the fog waiting for the relay truck

The relay truck arrived next day, and 3 different drivers(?!?) were needed, to take us the 160kms to our next stop/hotel in Italy

We bodged the hose with super glue, a length of rubber hose and some hose clamps, but had leaks all along, so had frequent stops to top up and bleed the clutch

In the end Mr Paolo Gratton (Italian Ford dealer in Gorizia, with his own Ford museum) saved our bacon by providing a NOS cluch hose free of charge, top man!
