just had a browse again through the pics of your lovley Mk4. did you paint the top shelf or have you found a nos one :headscratch: , as it looks so lovely. :cheers:

 

i recently acquired a Roman Bronze Taunus, but the parcel shelf is very tatty compared to the rest of the interior:

The rear shelf is the original one, it's not been painted. I think it's lucky to have stayed in good condition unlike the top of the rear seat which has faded a bit but I've seen worse. I did see your post on the Taunus, it looks very nice and Roman Bronze too.

It did, to my surprise and it got 3rd place in the mixed category in the Mk 1-5 club.

Very nice piece of chocolate! High is ok for a genuine car..may be it would look more aggressive with -1 inch may be:-)
