conairmike 7 Posted May 24, 2014 Small update time Guys & Girls, picked the engine up from the engineers yesterday, after sending off for a honing it ended up needing a re-bore, so it was .3 now it's up to .5 and has some new pistons as well to go with, so much for a quick strip, clean and re build lol, now just got to pop some new core plugs, paint it and put it all back together :) Cheers For Following :thumbup: Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
conairmike 7 Posted June 7, 2014 Time for another update, the Engine rebuild is moving along steadily in between the rest of life, here is the current state of play, all painted, Head and bottom end together pretty much, just got to join them now and sort out getting it in the car, hope you like the pic's. conairmike 7 Posted June 30, 2014 Howdy all, time for an Update on this as well, Engine is almost there, sump on, head is now on block, Cam belt on and valves adjusted, i even shelled out on a new water pump lol had to file one of the bolt holes a little as good old pattern part fits so well, here are the current progress pics, hope you like. conairmike 7 Posted July 19, 2014 (edited) Hi all Well it's in, Grace is now running her new heart and damn i'm chuffed to bits, we stripped the ancillaries last night and pulled the old and fitted the new this morning, no real issues as well, went pretty smoothly, got the timing 180 degrees out but once we sorted that first tun of the key and damn she runs well, still needs a little tune up but hey i still class this a s a big win, Massive thank you to my Bud 's Carl, Moggey, Jono & Trigger who with out wouldn't have happend, Here's some pics and if i'm lucky a little vid of her in action. dockertrigger 2 Posted July 20, 2014 (edited) I went along to help, well i say help, more like point and ask stupid questions! Proper old school mechanics though, engine out and new one fitted and up and running in a morning on the driveway, class!.
