Well after seeing my sill has got a wee bit dangerous i've taken if off the road, GUTTED, however it means time to save and plan for its return, obviously with a new inner and outer sill, but also i'm gonna fit injection to the 2.3 now, i already have the manifold and bits, gonna have the tank modded and then go independent management suck as megasquirt, i'll tie in with a re wire of the car as well, the carb has worked and worked well, had some proper fun but the long term was always this route so now's as good a time as any, this is all of course fingers crossed money saving and praying and as well all know things change lol, for now he's a sad view i see everyday :(

Small Update, panels are arriving only one left to get now next payday, so the Mrs & i decided to build up the injection manifold to see what we had to play with and work out what we needed, This one is different to the normal 2.3 plastic inlet, this is the vi system inlet, which is cast instead, also looks a bit cooler and had twin 50mm bodies instead of 1 60mm, we worked out what was what with some help from Dan Buckley who i brought it from and is a BSC member, now just gotta trial fit it and work out the throttle cable, already got an idea in mine so gonna see if it works.

Already had a chat with Mr Sheffieldcortinacentre ref modding the Tank which then leaves my management which again we have a plan in place.

Just need more money and time now lol

Here's some pics

That's a good move. We had a 2.3 Scorpio and the plastic manifold cracked and we ended up scrapping the car as good/new ones were so expensive

I was well impressed how quick you got that engine in there so I think you'll make progress. Same with you I lack the funds but also I generally lack your drive to get stuff done dude.

We never usually hang around but that's cause I get over excited and impatient lol money has it's ways around time however don't lol even more so now since becoming a dad, the little monkey is just over a year and keeps me really busy so car takes a bit of a back seat but just gives me a little more prep and planning time :)

John was very impressed at the ease in which the tank strap nut came undone, did'nt even put up a fight :) we then emptied the tank into a jerry and that into my wagon, waste not want not lol

Next up i wanted to get the injection manifold on, must admit it was a little bit of a fight but after some jiggery pokery we got it on, gonna need to mod the alternator adjuster and a longer belt but other than that all good (hopefully)
