My Mk3 2.3

Looks great. Half the battle is not having stuck bolts/nuts. So nice when things come apart the way they ought to without a fight.

Cheers dude, for sure, the last 2 tanks i've done have all come out easy as pie, not doing anymore now thou cause next one is bound to be a nightmare lol

Cheers, it was'nt too bad, like i mentioned we ran into a couple of snags using this manifold i wasn't expecting but nothing that's difficult so far to work around, i can always swap to the plastic one i got if so.

Yeah should be a little more smoother as for power in theory yes it should be me a few more, how much i'm not sure but combined with the independent management be interested to see, it dyno'd with Carb was 164bhp so defo be interesting to see when we set it up what the difference is

Cheers again guys for all the comments :)

If I had known that you were going to take some pictures, I would have ironed my overalls and I would have definitely sorted out a pair of gloves rather than two right hand ones.

I'm curious why you're changing from carb to injection?

it was always the plan to run injection in the long run one we had it all working, the car performs well on the carb but with the injection it should run smoother and hopefully free up some more power.

Well little more progress, As mentioned we had a slight clearance issue with the Alt with the new manifold, well we shaved the no longer needed bracket off and i had a look and found an unsued hole on the mount which with some spacing will solve the issue, just need a new longer belt

Then we got the tanks packed and posted off for modding for injection

And then i got a delivery at work, My Management has turned up :) always nice getting new bits

Nice one Mike. Are you getting the car trailered away for welding or doing it yourself?

Cheers dude, a friend is taking it over with his flat bed, I'm gonna help the place doing it but my welding skills are rusty at best lol pardon the pun, so they'll be doing the actual welding up

We manage to have as much fun as we can bud, that's what it's all about in the end just chilling and having a laugh over common ground, seems lately my rust box has been the main camp fire lol

Update Time

So where do i start here, well time had come to move the car over to my Friends company to begin the heavy work, the sill, so my other pal Frosty came over with his flatbed and quick load up and off we went.

As you can see we've got through it and its now shaping up well, i say we all i really have done is prep panels and be a general spare hands lol but the lad has done a cracking job so far, the metal work should be all done tomorrow and then on to the final parts of the injection swap, wiring and plumbing :)

Cheers for following

Never would have thought it was that bad, looks like a great job though.
