If I worked it our hour wise it did not take too long. However, the engine problem has put that back for a bit. So we shall see how it goes. Plus the fact I have been enjoying fixing it myself. yorkie_racer 5 Posted March 6, 2012 I had a similar thing happen to me driving a 44 tonner, but I coughed so much that I went temperarily blind....at 56MPH!.....didn't know whether to brake or what so when I heard the rumble strip I thought I'd just lift off and steer along the line....took about 20 secs for my sight to come back.....and for me to find out I was on the rumble strip beside the central reserve!!!!! I'd crossed three lanes of traffic while I was blind.....scariest thing I ever went through, docs think that i coughed so long I wasn't taking enough oxygen and my brain was temperarily staved of it causing the blindness. Frankie Did you ever get a chance to find out what happened to your (2 litre I think) engine? Assume from what you've said about going 1600 it's terminal? Further investigations will be happening with the 2.0, hopefully it can be repaired. To me it does sound rather buggered but my engineer friend wants to pull it apart and he's not one to be beaten by a pinto. Determined sod he is!!
