LHD16E 9 Posted January 21, 2012 i put a thread up last year to say i was giving up organising shows. see a copy below OK lads I have decided to give up organising car shows from next year 2012. next year I will need a open calendar so me and Sharon can do some more horse shows. as it will be time for her young horse to be ready for her to start riding in shows. she has supported me for years doing car shows. so now its her turn. I will still come to as many shows as I can. but I need someone else to take over from me and do the organising for the shows we do though the year. and if some one wants to take on the BSC weekend show for 2012 then let me know. I just need the cars! I plan to arrange the cars in a v formation to celebrate Vulcan 'V' I need one of each Marque, saloon or estate or both, the stand is on for 2 days. so we could have different cars on each day if no one can stay the 2 days. I have one car so far, my green GXL so potentially would need 8 - 10 cars anyone/#? could i make this a BSC event with banner/#? It looks a really good show and theres no Cortinas featured, the pitch I can get is the only Cortina one. would be great to do a BSC thing, if not do you think any other clubs would be interested, or if no club, we could build just our own one off club for the event. Dunsfold is in Surrey forgot to say theres also a classic car paddock which can be prebooked for any classic car, or if you are just visiting the day, so theres lots of options, if this is popular, we could have back up cars in the paddock, or even cortinas in the paddock as well as in the 20x20 pitch area. we would be featured in the brochure too and on the website and possibly TV heres what the event organiser wrote abck and said to me regarding the cortina stand. The Wheels Zone The Wheels Zone is a new addition to the show aimed at invited vehicle clubs who take an active interest in their club’s promotion and would like the opportunity to market this at Wings & Wheels. Each successful car club will be allocated a pitch, measuring a maximum of 20m x 20m (so invite as many cars as you think you can comfortably fit on this pitch). New Wheels Zone criteria requires car clubs to have a minimum of eight exhibiting vehicles on display on both Sunday 26th and Monday 27th August. Vehicles should be displayed in an imaginative formation, have at least one club member at the exhibition at all times to answer questions, and display information about vehicles as appropriate. Awards will be made for the best displays and Wheels Zone participants are encouraged to promote their club, sell merchandise, display branded banners or flags and erect gazebos or marquees in order to make their displays more appealing. The improved format of the Wheels Zone will allow the car clubs to become fully integrated with the Wings & Wheels arena and therefore more interactive with our visitors. Terms and conditions, similar to the trading exhibitors, are outlined on the attached application form. Successful applicants will be issued with a vehicle pass and one complimentary adult ticket per vehicle. Additional passengers are offered a discount as per the booking form. cortina-city 141 Posted July 9, 2012 free entry to anyone on the stand. so far we have: Cortina-City Mk3 GXL - confirmed G.O Mk2 estate (unconfirmed) long way to go we need 8 cars plus 2 backup (parking in reserve in the paddock) PLUS extras for those who cant do the 2 days. could this be a BSC event? if so ill need the banner, who has that#? cortina-city 141 Posted July 10, 2012 DONT FORGET IF WE FILL UP THE STAND, YOU CAN STILL BRING YOUR CORTINA AS THERES A CLASSIC CAR AREA TOO, BUT YOU NEED TO PURCHASE A TICKET FROM THE WEBSITE. THIS WOULD BE REFUNDED IF YOUR CAR WAS NEEDED AS A RESERVE TO SERVE ANY SHORTFALL ON THE MAIN ARENA STAND.
