AndyGhiaMK4 2 Posted April 27, 2012 Thank you for all the comments, yes it is looking very good, very solid car really, considering when i bought it 3 years ago it was under a tarp, and had been kept under it since 1995, only had a few bits welded where needed as per pics, every where else really solid that is what made my mind up to buy this and not a mk5 lol Andy
btboy 49 Posted April 27, 2012 You must be well pleased, mate. Look forward to seeing the car back together soon. ATB, Paul
Martin1600E 0 Posted April 27, 2012 Looks really good :) I love seeing threads like this - although it makes me realise how skilled some people are and how useless I am lol..
AndyGhiaMK4 2 Posted April 27, 2012 Thanks Paul only wish it could have been done a bit quicker so i could have taken it to battlesbridge next weekend, but never mind will be at classic ford at end of the month, do not laugh but i am still coming to battlesbridge in my dads, wiat for it, ----------- a three wheeler lol. Thanks Martin only wish i could the the job myself but apart from mechanicals, not skilled at welding or painting that is why it is in a bodyshop. I really wish that I could show people how to do the things they shy away from. I'm hoping to paint Pete's MK3 this year and if we can do it, there should be lots of video to show what to do to put on paint, it's the best feeling when you see the colour leaving the gun nozzle and on to the car... AndyGhiaMK4 2 Posted May 8, 2012 Got my car back from the paint shop on saturday, looks awesome i must say myself lol. Coming home on back of recovery truck borrowed from work lol. outside paintshop no wing as it had a scratch mark on it, so went back for repaint slam panel repair section. lower front panel repair front of car. passenger side of car. Drivers side of car minus wing. Windscreen back in. Rear window with louvre on, still not sure about the louvre yet, dont get me wrong i love louvres, but this is staying standard so dont know whether it will stay on or not yet.
