You cant have enough mirror info. :D

These are proper Ford ones, however they are handed, this is an o/s one.

I do like these they are slim and sexy.

These i think look good on the wings, the swept back look.

mirror currently fitted to swampy i had those on a K plate 1600GT i used to own,and several other cortinas,so fairly widespread period-use item.have forgotten manufacturers' name of them now :headscratch:

those sweep-backs as per marks pikki look the best on mk3s IMO and thats what i'd go for personally.

i hate wing mounted mirrors, find them a ball ache to use and i think they spoil a cars' lines.same goes for bullets.they look tacky and cheap, and are useless to see out of.

the american-style round ford ones are again a period option,i had a drivers side one on my blue '72 1600XL and it was fitted from new.very rare now in any kind of decent nick tho so expect to pay dear for them :shocking:

most folk resort to the very common chrome squares as fitted to mk2 escorts etc.they look ok and give decent vision but do still look a little wrong on mk3's i think, the swept back type i think made by Tex are best for looks.still available new from there website

and also i personally, like Dave, wouldn't want to drive a car regularly with no external mirrors fitted at all,i think its very dangerous what with todays' fast-moving traffic and a lot more bad drivers on the road than there used to be. a mirror on both doors is the best idea for safety, and general vision etc  i drive a truck for a living so i'd be blind with a main mirror missing and wouldn't be able to safely drive so i'm very biased towards mirrors being fitted <_< most cars i've kept for my own use with only 1 mirror i've sourced a passenger one,or swapped out for a matching pair[usually resorting to the ubiquitous escort style one...]i've a pair of chrome mk1 or 2 granada door mirrors somewhere but they would look wrong i think on an early mk3 <_<
