Finally, set cam timing with DTI and timing protractor.  New belt fitted, the old one wasn’t actually bad but had been on for just shy of 7 years, only 5000 miles ….. must try harder.  The tensioner pulley was slightly rusty though, probably due to lack of use…. see above. The tensioner was replaced when the last belt was fitted so gave it a clean up, it spins fine, no noise just a bit of corrosion.

Changed the oil and filter too, valve clearances checked… 2 adjustments.

 

Now enjoying a beer, cheers.
