cortina 1600E restoration

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I'm about to start the restoration of a very dear car to me, cortina 1600e Xyd 814 h, this I used to own in the early nineties, my pride and my joy when I was a wee lad, well I was 20 when I purchased the car for a whopping sum of 2500 hard earned pounds. The car then was in glorious condition, an ex concours car, everything was right, shiney and bright, but twenty years on the car returns to me for a complete concours rebuild, the current owner is Jeff otherwise know as big biff on here, has got the cortina bug and wants that concours car again, so here she is about to get the treatment she deserves.

The car arrived complete, I have stripped her down and sent her for blasting yesterday,

This morning the car returns looking very sorry for herself,

I shall get some pictures up this evening, so you guys can take a look.

I'm looking toward to this one,

Stu
