Maybe get an alloy water pump, cut it and have a plate TIG'd on. The pump is 19mm bore, so I'd have to have a think about what size to do the take-off pipe. Or looking at the photo again,just cut off the front part, fill up the hole with a metal plug and weld, and use the existing pipes. I thought you had a very good chance from the start - all the guys on the forums were lining up to show their support. Not wanting to detract from your win at all but I have to say, the competition was pretty poor this year. Nothing tickled my fancy other than the Sundowner Van and even that was before I realised it was a real thing - initially I thought it was a custom fan-fiction what-if type of project like yours Jayne. They are nice cars all of them but not a patch on yours. Classic Ford need to pull their fingers out and find some more interesting cars for next year IMHO.
