its go go go

Well, that was some group photo session! Yes there were group photos taken, but then there was champagne and cake and pressies from everyone. Wow, thank you so much everyone for doing that, especially John and Anne, and Rob too. A special mention also to Hotel Cortina for looking after us so well again too. It was a wonderful surprise and much appreciated. We're just pleased that everyone is having such a great time :D

Tomorrow we bid Cortina farewell and back in to Switzerland to Davos. Those with working cars will have a drive with spectacular scenery (I'm expecting lads of pis guys) but those of us with broken cars will be missing that in favour of an easier drive in an attempt to bring the cars back home in one piece. Wish us luck, some of us are going to need it.......

Hello from Dover!!

Yup we've finally made it back to blighty :D but not without a host of further problems for some.

Apologies for the lack of updates over the last few days but I've not had Internet access, will update fully later but just to say for now, we didn't think much of davos. Wiengarten was nicer, the hotel at hockenhiem wasn't too great but that was soon forgotten thanks to Rob Sargent getting us a drive of the GP circuit. The technology museum at Sinshiem is exactly how all museums should be, and despite the ailing car I couldn't resist taking it around the Nordschlief. Our hotel room there over looked the start finish straight of the new nurburging track where we also sat and watched various practice sessions for this weekends ADAC race meet.

Breakdowns since the last update have included Mungos Lotus running out of electric and Bretts MkIV running out of breaks -that one eventually being solved by the local Ford dealer at Hockenhiem coming up with master cylinder parts. It now seems we also have a 1600E with what looks like head gasket worries but at least we've all got back to England.

But that makes for a sad day today. We'll all be heading down to breakfast as a group for the last time shortly before we go our separate ways and head for home. We're all very tired but all itching to get going again on the next one. It's been a great trip made fantasic by everyone that came along. Thanks guys
