p100 help ??

hi peeps can anyone give me some info on the cortina p100 axle as im planing on putting a bit of power in my p100 and not sure how strong they are i belive people used them in some hotrods back in the day iv got a capri atlas sitting here but i would realy like to keep my wheels any info would be great

very strong but crap ratio & nothing else fits in the caseing to my knowledge.

Every P100 i've broken the axle has sold to a rally enthusiast to upgrade from thier atlas so they take a lot of abuse ;)

I'm sure that I heard (not 100%) that Transit Mk2 & the early Mk3's upto 1991 with the narrow axles fit the P100 :headscratch: I know that the wheels have the same stud pattern

nope different width & stud pattern.

 

the sierra p100 uses same stud pattern & wheels but even this axle is different to single wheel transit.

Ahhh...now that's why I heard about the transit wheels fitting as it may of been on a Sierra P100 then. You learn something every day :thumbup:
