Dash is now finished:rolleyes:

It now has all the warning lights, inc ABS, Brake Level, Indicators and GEN.

Gauge wise, it has two temp gauges, one for Water Temp and the other for Oil Temp.

All these odd jobs have been done during my lunch breaks, next job is the steering wheel:rolleyes:

That looks a treat,if you dont mind me asking who supplied the binicle and insert. Those guages really look right and will be cheaper to find and more accurate than the old genuine stuff. This car is gonna be a winner when finished for sure!

Got to do a little relieving in the tunnel area as the gearbox touches, but I will be trying to do it in a way that looks like original

All marked out ready for the air saw...

Stripped out the tail housing on the gearbox so I can shorten the gear lever selector rod, its going to work out well as all I have to do is drill a hole in the selector rod, one slight problem is its hardened so I will have to find someone who can Spark Erode the hole.

On a better note the gear-lever will be in front of the centre cross member

Started the steering wheel, first job was to thin down the rim, so I mounted it onto a polishing mandrel..

Todays job was to make and install engine mouints and gerbox mount.

Gearbox fits in the tunnel very well with only a small amount of modification, also gear lever selector rod shortened very easily. The end of the rod that engages with the selectors is welded by the factory so I made a little jig and lined up the hole, then it was a case of grinding off the welds and shortening the rod and re welding, top result...

Took a good 20mm off the diameter of the rim, Polished up the spokes, looks like a smaller version of the Lotus..

A bit more welding done on the tunnel tonight, even an hour in the garage while the wife was out makes a big difference (don't tell her) :wife:

Also been sorting out all the bits and pieces so I shall be taking them to work to refurbish, might even put some Ermine white on some of the bits as I'm painting a Triumph TR6 in white at the moment so can do a few bits at the same time...
