Managed to complete the fibreglass tunnel cover this week, its now ready for some expanding foam for shaping and then a coat of resin, this will make it ready for the trimmer.

First part was to prepare for the resin, this was done using release wax, I put a good couple of coats on for good measure. Then I brushed on a coat of resin and then the first layer of matting was applied, then followed by two more layers. all air bubbles were removed by using the special tool.

I left it over night and the next evening I released it from the tunnel, very hard to pry it off to begin with but once I managed to get my hand underneath I gave it a good yank and off it popped..

Next job was to trim the edges and give it a light sand to remove the fine strands. It now slips onto the tunnel very well and wont need to be fixed in anyway..

Next Thursday and Friday I have booked as holiday and my friend who is a mechanic for Citroen is going to help me put all the fluids into the engine, gearbox, diff also bleed the brakes with silicone fluid, fill the radiator and pressure check and power up the fuel pumps to check for leaks as well as setting the fuel pressure..

so lots happening...

Well a great day today, engine started straight away, then spent a bit of time setting up the ECU Thanks Dan (Calibrated Performance) your a top man.
Trimmer should hopefully start the tunnel cover next week, then its just a few niggles to sort and she's finished..
Booked the car for its first show, Wheels day on Good Friday.
