wolfrace 116 Posted April 1, 2014 (edited) Well I heard that they were thinking of launching over here since at least 2005, who knows if it will happen. All sorts of companies set up doing rhd conversions a few years back, some of the jobs you see on the net of how they go about doing this are just horrendous so it would be welcomed. I see they are going to put a 2.3 turbocharged 4 cyl engine in it also which they think will be the better seller in Europe. I think the fox bodied mustangs had a 2.3 turbocharged 4pot in them, though I imagine these newer ones will go well. It seems they have started to veer away from the cokebottle muscle car look and are heading towards that of a GT/sports car, vaguely like a skyline GTR mixed with a bit of bmw. It's obvious to me that it is nicer than anything I've designed and they've pushed the styling of the concept to it's boundaries. It's good looking but it's just an echo of what a mustang means to me. I've seen a few camaros around and the size of them is just right, they sound right and look the part too I think the Challenger might be a bit of a big lump on the road but it's less of a compromise in terms of keeping the look of the 70's original, it's got very clean lines and looks enough like the original so there is no mistake what it is. Either of those cars would be welcomed in the UK, I am sure there are more people buying niche cars these-days. nmonkey220 23 Posted April 1, 2014 They've been toying with the idea for around 2 years now, the same as the RHD mustangs that we were supposedly getting. A load of concept sketches were around on the web and in the newspapers, most seemed to be based on the Mk1 cortina. Incidentally back then I did a concept sketch of how I think a mk6 cortina should look; I still think they ought to just make something with some cortina styling elements to it and launch that (even if it's a mondeo with a cortina badge) but just to take the badge across one brand to another would be a waste of an opportunity to do something different. Love that picture this is the car fors should be building in rear wheel drive too not this false wheel drive majority of cars are these days
