bortaf 93 Posted June 2, 2014 Hi, according to my supplier, ther are 2 windscreens listed for the MK 5 Cortina ! They both fit saloon or estate, depending on the year of manufactor, the original screen was changed in 1982. After making numerous phone calls, I have managed to source 3 New windscreens in Clear glass that fit the later version. They are for sale at a cost of £135.00 I have also had a discussion with a manufacturer ,who will make a batch of tinted screens for me. The minimum batch size is 20 ! Your supplyer is wrong, the saloon screen does not fit the estate  the estate uses a Mk4 screen the saloon has early and late as you say but neither fit the estate, double check what they actually have. I'm more than happy to check the supplier information. I'd be surprised if there wrong, considering that they are the biggest supplier of Automotive glass in Europe. But as I have already stated,if you measure your old glass before buying, you wouldn't go wrong. At the end of the day,the easiest option is to get a professional to sort the problem As far as I'm aware the MK4 never had it's own screen,it uses a screen from the MK3 Edited June 2, 2014 by Kencrackfixer

Ford were well known to do this...Mk2 escort estate is a dolled up mk1 not the same as a mk2 saloon.# Biggest supplier they might be but Bortaf knows his onions.
