Auto box parts wanted

Hi

I'm looking at converting my 2000E to Auto, I have got the box itself but need all the other bits like

Auto prop

Gearbox X Member,

Auto radiator and cooler pipes

Selector mechanism and cables

Kick down cable and throttle linkage

I might have sourced the pedal box and pedal but that is not confirmed so if you have these that would be great

Is there anybody on here who has done a reverse conversion got any of these bits that they could sell me or even swap some of the bits for my manual ones?

You can manage without changing the pedal box - I swapped by brake pedal for the larger auto one and removed the clutch pedal :thumbup:

The cooler pipes are no longer available, even for a sierra, i had mine made up by a hydraulic pipe specialist, hope that helps a little in getting your auto box in your car, also you will need a relay from the inhibitor switch to starter moter to stop the car starting in any of the gears.

Do the people you used for the pipes need samples or do they know what size and shape is needed as I wint have any for copies?

you can use original prop.just swap peddle/shaft for auto one.

 

think I've got pedal/shaft & shifter & a cooler.

 

use a separate cooler rather than one in rad.

 

if you've got the ends with short piece of pipe for cooler I've got some auto rubber hose (can use jubilee clips there not high pressure).

If you can get a breaker get the wire for inhibitor switch. Pluhs into loom with no messing around

Maybe Steve....but I've broken another E since then so not sure
