look for more break dust on one side, and see if one wheel is hotter than the other after a run . :juggle:

Wobble will probb be, as been said warped disk

I had wobble under braking on the Mk4. Changed disks, pads & calipers. Wobble still there :tazz:

Recon steering rack and new track rod ends cured it

Not sure how though :headscratch:

do you rec a sticking piston in right caliper

feel how hot the rim is after driving. On the Sierra,a worn ball joint on the track control arm give off those symptoms. So the Cortina TCA equivalent might be the cause

If it pulls left when you're not braking have you checked your tie bar bushes?

As people have said, wobble/vibration is most likely a warped disc. If you want to be absolutely certain before splashing out on a new set of discs get a dial test indicator (DTI)/clock gauge and check the disc run out. If you haven't got one already I would think you could get a cheap DTI for under £20.

Pulling during braking could be all manner of things but if you're changing the discs (as you most likely will be) you will have to remove the calipers. If it were me, while you've got the calipers off strip them down, clean the pistons and bores and put a new set of seals in. That way if the pulling persists you have eliminated the brakes so can look at other things such as suspension bushes.

People spend a lot of money buying reconditioned exchange calipers which in my opinion is a waste. Provided your calipers are in reasonably good condition to start with, a new seals kit from TRW (formerly Lucas Girling) costs about £17 and you can overhaul both units in an afternoon. The TRW seals kit part number is SP2589. It's also an ideal opportunity flush out the old brake fluid and get some nice new DOT4 in there.

If you do decide to overhaul the calipers use a piece of Scotchbrit to clean the pistons and bores, it's not too abrasive and cleans them up a treat.

thanks for all ideas....

I have done some of these task before ..... good serviced calipers...so I think....new pads..tie bar bushes new.......I,ll go check all the other areas you speak of chaps..... like I say....only when the car gets hot the wobble is quite powerful on breathing and pulls left.....
