East Kent Trim windscreen rubber which mk2 best fit

All as per title. I know it's been asked before but:

 

There are a few millimetres difference between the windscreen aperture size for a series 1 or series 2 Mk2 Cortina.

 

The East Kent Trim Supplies rubber - does it fit series 1 or series 2 best?

There's a couple of threads on here about bad experiences with East Kent Trim, :thumbdown: he's best avoided. Sorry I know that doesn't help with your question.

hi,a couple of years ago I bought a pair of door seals from east kent.absolute .e,nothing like originals got onto them/him ,he sent me another but still no good .so I sent him a sample of my original,he sent it to his supplier got some new profile ones made.they were a lot better but still not right,another try and this time they used a softer rubber so it was a bit more like the original.settled for that although not great. So east kent will listen if you call him and explain the problems he will have a go to sort you out.

Ok, so which of the Aust or NZ suppliers rubbers fit a mk2 series 2 best then?

i bought door seals and fixed quarter light rubbers from the.. the old car company in oz they are very good fit

I think I've seen this question discussed before and the difference is not the aperture size (which is the same on all Series 1 / Series 2) but the glass size - so you need a Series 1 rubber for a Series 1 screen and a Series 2 rubber for a Series 2 screen.
