Yeah I'm also on oldskoolford quite regularly the colour is imperial blue, and it's a ford colour! As nice it looks unfortunately its full of filler that's why it's off the road for a fresh rebuild this winter! 😜

they are both series 2s, when I got the 1600E it was already fitted with the GT dash top so I just stuck with it. the S1 GT dash top is actually my favourite of the dashes!:)

Like both your cars, nearly purchased a genuine GT estate a few years ago, but it was a real mess. Your estate will not be a series 2 on a F plate. :headscratch:

Oops! You are correct! You learn something new everyday haha! I always assumed s1 cars had pre xflows and s2s had xflows, I just love driving the things!:) both of mine are far from standard and are a mix and match of all trim models

mk2s only had pre-crossflow engines for the first few months

the original plan was for them all to be crossflow but the engines wernt going to be ready for the start of production

mk2s had pre-crossflow engines (1300&1500) for the first year, from 9/66-9/67 :)

Which is when the "series 1" 1300/1600 mk2s appeared, from 10/67-9/68.

And then the series 2 mk2s, from 10/68-9/70.
