Duke Blues 15 Posted January 24, 2015 There have been some door skins on ebay lately.
ChristinaGXL 23 Posted January 24, 2015 Yeah I've seen them but won't it be cheaper to just get decent doors?

ChristinaGXL 23 Posted February 7, 2015 Small update, I've bought sills, and just won some rear lower quarter repair panels! Work wise, not much to say, I've refurbed my centre console forward section, filled some gouges and painted it. It looks pretty good. Working on the armrest section, it had had some electric seat switches from a mk2 granada put in for what I can assume were electric windows, so that left 2 large rectangular holes above the handbrake in the centre console. A quick raid of my model building supplies and it's almost sorted out. Just some filling, sanding and painting :) Pics later :showoff:

Lounge Lizard 0 Posted February 8, 2015 I'd definitely keep the colour. It's so rare it adds to the allure for me. You'll be hard pushed to find another one the same and that's a great thing in a motoring world full of blandness. I've only managed to find a couple of photos of another Cortina that colour and when it's polished and has the chromework sparkling, I think it'll look cool. Check out the photo (I wouldn't add the fat wheels this guy has though, but it isn't may car of course).
Lounge Lizard 0 Posted February 8, 2015 I bet there are only about three Cortinas left in that colour. That's pretty special in my book.
ChristinaGXL 23 Posted February 8, 2015 There's not really that many in copper brown either, I don't like the red unless it's really sunny. We don't get a whole lot of sun :/ Thanks tibbs for the link but mine's coming along well

The latest owner of that pro street v8 cortina lives not too far from me now, sadly it was painted sunset red a few years ago ,though the current owner would like to change it back. ChristinaGXL 23 Posted February 10, 2015 I did a little more today, almost got a solid wing rail! I got some bits through today too. The arch pieces are going to take a lot of work, but there is one that I doubt I can even use. Maybe some gentle hammering will sort them out. Oh, and a whole lot of polishing! wolfrace 116 Posted February 10, 2015 Keeping up appearences with the nail polish. :) Lovely repair patch. I will get around to sending those gutter trims unless of course you are happy to wait for a show though you will save yourself some postage.
ChristinaGXL 23 Posted February 10, 2015 I think I'll be needing them before I'm able to get to any shows :( unless there's any local ones to me you'd be going to. Hopefully I can do a little more welding tomorrow :D
