ChristinaGXL 23 Posted June 23, 2015 I have still been working on the car, just not posting so much. I have a footwell now Starting to remove sill Those spotwelds around the B pillar were quite the puzzle If anyone has any I need some pics of how this whole area goes together. I think I'll have to make new ski slopes too. An inch or two section of my wheelarch appears to have been made of filler too. Hmm. Quick test fit of the new sill, it's always nice to see things going back together even when it's not ready!

Beowulf 87 Posted June 25, 2015 Good progress there Christina ;). Putting us to shame. The sill to rear tub is a little complex as the seam of the wheel well and the inner and outer sill don't go together as you think they might.
ChristinaGXL 23 Posted June 26, 2015 I have some pictures of what it should look like, it is pretty confusing. I suppose the best way is to grind mine back to bare metal to see how it compares.

Escortina101 0 Posted July 29, 2015 Good job going on there, just be careful when you remove that much metal at once that the car doesn't move about & end up sagging in the middle. the sill & B post make up a fair amount of strength in a shell & you'll find the doors don't fit or don't line up well when its going back together. I had issues like that on an Escort a few years back. I now tack weld in cross braces to make sure it doesn't happen again
