The Renault 17 is also another of my favourites but finding one would be probably be somewhat problematic.

I've had a word with the Greek god Cortina and he says choosing the Taunus is cheating (pretty clever though).

TBH I am into Cortinas because I used to run em as dalies (read kill them as they always ended up being scrapped as they were at the end of their lives) just easy to get another all the time as I had loads of spares. So I wouldnt really have anything else (even another MK of 'tina) but I do like MKI Granadas (nice one Frankie) and I do have a soft spot for the MKI Capri as it was my first car (even though I was too young to drive).

I could say, "Well I'd buy a Corsair", but that's exactly what I did, and in any case the Corsair wouldn't exist without the Cortina. So I'll go for an Anglia Super for the same reasons I like the early Cortinas and Corsairs; lightweight body, simple mechanicals for DIY, economical to run, and fast enough for country driving.

I’d probably be into classic Minis, oh, I’ve got one of those. Or Ford 100e’s, ah, I’ve two of those as well!
