Any Cortina colours you don't like?

Recommended Posts

countach is only "supercar" I like.

my thing is late 60's-70's musclecars, my 302 V8 Cortina is my interpretation on them.

The 70s supercars do it for me - especially the prototypes. The Maserati Boomerang is a classic example. Designed in 1971 and far more futuristic than any Supercar today. And it has ANGLES!

Have you been to Spur Classics in Sheffield? He has a lot of American cars. He asks big money for them though. I once went to look at a MK2 Escort (this is about ten years ago). It was as rusty as the Titanic and he wanted about 3K for it (this was when they were still going for a few hundred quid). He also had a lovely brown MK5 GL.

So back to Cortina colours ?

nah lets stick to the most beautiful car ever built

E.L. Cord bought the Deusenourg car company in 1926. He challenged Fred Duesenberg to design an automobile that would be the best in the world. Indeed, Cord wanted the biggest, fastest, and most expensive car ever made. He also ordered a large chassis to be able to compete with the biggest, most powerful, and most luxurious European cars of the era, such as Hispano-Suiza, Isotta-Fraschini, Mercedes-Benz, or Rolls-Royce, to name a few.

I think Fred did the job just right

and the engine:

and just because it was designed in 1926 doesnt mean it was slow these did over 100mph, good enough for Al Capone

Even more fun, which was the ugliest car ever built? My nomination - The Nissan Juke. I think we all know what the designer took his inspiration from.

Wouldn't mind a butchers at that if they're ever in the area next time I'm visiting.

He's only brought it down twice as he lives up north and the running costs are eye-watering.
