MK5 2.3 1980 50,000 What's it worth?

Recommended Posts

Mk4 and Mk5 were satin black from new, I believe mk3's should be body colour but would have to check brochures to be sure, I am sure of mk4 and 5's though.

There are exceptions to this for MK5 the two tone Carousel and Crusader models, where the sills were originally painted in the lower body colour.

The £1,900 to £2,300 guide price seems a bit low (if it's as tidy as it looks in the pics) but then the joy of auctions is that you might just get lucky - are you going to view it?

No I'm not going as the Cortina was the only car I was interested in. I'm not in a position to tie up over £2000 in a classic at the moment and then I thought about the road tax which I suppose will be £225 a year.

I was just wondering the same thing Kevin - they haven't put the results on their website yet...

Some of the prices are up but not all of them yet, this should have had black sills although i prefer them body coloured.

Sold for £2740.....

Plus fees and indemnity probably puts it up to about 3k, seems a high price, probably a couple of bidders getting carried away with themselves.
