cortina-city 141 Posted January 24, 2017 mya4ld gearbox is back from rebuild I didn't like the silver colour they used so I stripped it off in fact they just spay painted without properly cleaning the outside. looking at inside, with pan off, it looks immaculate and I can see its had a proper build and comes with warranty so im not worried there. I just think people have different standards. I did point out I wanted it factory look. hmmmm,. all seals and brake bands replaced etc, all the things you expect in a rebuild, im sure are done ok, its just they didn't quite get what I meant about the exterior finish anyway im putting it how I like it. bellhousing and tail housing are being replaced so ive not cleaned them. im going for dual output on the tailshaft, speed sensor and speedo drive, and pinto bellhousing. this box was a v6 bellhousing ive wire brushed and oxide blasted it then dusted it with an alloy paint
