When you do get it to MOT get them to put on the Gas Analyzer that will give you an idea of the tuning and may be able to improve it for you. cortina-city 140 Posted October 26, 2017 thanks pete, yes it smells very petrol, and the fumes sting your eyes if they blow back into workshop i think timing and carb>? its NEW carb from webber, same as used on swampy (come to think of it swampy is a touch rich too) it sems to have got better since actually driving it as opposed to being on jig i only really notice it on a hard rev of the engine though and especially on decellaration, it will puff when you boot it?
