Im finding a lot of Cortina enthusiasts had NO IDEA that I made the films and had wished they found them earlier. Prob because I don't do facebook so my fault I guess.

And I just subscribed tonight!

Made a comment on your outakes vid and then realised I hadn't subscribed yet. No wonder I keep falling behind with episodes.

Probably a bit late for a top tip, but with that instrument binnacle for stripping the paint and chrome off you can soak it in brake fluid (dot 4) over night, the paint/chrome/glue will come off with a brush and stubborn bits with fine wire wool or scotchbrite. Maybe repeat a couple of times.

Surprisingly effective and doesn't affect the plastic. Did this to a mk1 escort binnacle and it worked perfectly although it can be messy!

Good luck with the resto!

That's a good tip about the brake fluid. Personally I've used oven cleaner with good results but will try brake fluid next time!
