just a note on 2 pack

YOU MUST MUST wear a mask

I use a 3m twin cartdridge face mask

even your eyeballs must be covered so full face mask needed!

for the plastics I used kolorbond matched with a swatch from rubys paint scheme

for the centre pod unit I had to use 2 pack paint, its glossier than the kolorbond, looking back I should have asked to mix it with a matting agent really

you have to use 2 pack when painting over the chrome you see.

kolorbond wont key onto the chrome as good as 2 pack

and te centre pd is entirely covered in chrome and you overpaint the area leaving what parts you want chrome masked off.

so , if I did it again I would put matting agent into the 2 pack, I hope the gloss will dull slightly, its fresh paint on the pic.

Loving the Ruby stuff Pete, its all good practice for the next one on the line :winner:

Rear end of mine feels nice and tight but not hard, i went 50/50 orange and std Ford with the rear end bushes also a 16mm anti-roll bar.

I think a pair of these cup covers also make a difference to soak up a little bit of vibration i went for the 16 mm ones as my arms are the same as yours.

However anyone with the early arms where the spring bolts to it can probably only use the 6.5 mm ones.

I am away for a couple of days but on my return i shall PM you pics of a couple of build plates and what car they are off for your collection. :)

Centre console looks good, I'd never even noticed the bezels having chrome around them before, I guess in most this has just worn off.

Would be good if someone finally decifered the build plate. Esp for those who need replacements during rebuilds as it's a common rot area. Vin saved mostly through being ally.
