consul315 180 Posted July 20, 2015 mine came by accident. many years ago i wanted to register at ebay and being not very good with computers i often failed with a name containing Cortina in it (i´m actually a Cortina fan since early childhood starting with MK1s). after trying and failing several times it finally worked with consul315 (the continental name for "Consul Classic"), so i kept the name for other forums as well.

Ghiahead 6 Posted July 20, 2015 Always loved the Ghia marque on the old fords and the extras it delivered. Cortinas, Granadas and Escorts. Well come on who doesn't love a nice bit of wood trim....

wolfrace 116 Posted July 20, 2015 I joined BSC the first time around 2001/2 then forgot my details so re-registered with my current name. No real reason for using it other than I like the old slot mag and turbo vec wheels on Cortinas.
Derskine 11 Posted July 20, 2015 there used to be a local mini specialists called " the Sheffield mini centre" & because I've allways had an obsession with mk3 onwards cortina's my mates started calling my home "the Sheffield Cortina centre". wish I could do it as a business. For some reason I always thought you did do it as a business :headscratch:

Jupiter Red Mark4 1 Posted July 21, 2015 I have Jupiter Red Mark 4 Cortina - it seemed a good idea at the time to have as my username. I've wondered for a while about changing it and just having one username across some other forums some others do. Interesting in seeing how others have come up with their usernames.
