She's back on the road! Nearly straight through the mot (headlight bulb was cable tied in..........). Been driving her the last few days and apart from needing slight wheel alignment adjustments and being a bit revvy on the 60 profiles, she's good as gold! I'll take a pic of her on the new wheels soon but here's one of the replacement, black interior.

Because she's returned to the road so late, she'll no doubt go back into hibernation soon where engine rebuild, under bonnet clean-up and further body tidying will occur over winter.

I'm pleased to introduce the latest addition to our family...........

She's in need of much tidying around the edges but she's basically incredibly solid. It would seem she's had a few false starts with owners over the last few years. Hopefully I can give her a more secure home and make her as pretty as she deserves to be.

She's a 2.0 ghia. Factory (it would seem) power steering, headlight washers and vinyl. Not-so-factory sunroof. Everything works and she runs surprisingly well. Completed a 150 mile trip home without complaint.

Like this colour very much............

Me too! The O/S front wing is the only bit that's the original shade though (as I found out). The rest of the car has been painted a brighter version of Jupiter red, which I'm yet to identify! :headscratch:

Hijack away! Love an old 'Tina photo! My dad had a red 1.6L mk4 when I was a kid. Wish we had some pics.

Sadly this car was written off after three years due to a tyre blow out whilst overtaking on a dual carriageway to which it hit the side of the road that was covered with trees, needles to say it was a mess afterwards.

It was put back on the road and was last registered as taxed up until 1983
