East Kent Trim?

Recommended Posts

And a hawk can read the date off a penny from forty feet. Extreme acuity!

I dont believe that a hawk could understand dates , so why would it bother to read it?

Dave.

It is inevitable that you will write or type or whatever medium is appropiate at the time, the entire works of shakespeare and/or if shakepeare never excisted.

you will also own and operate east kent trim supplies

and that east kent trim will invent cats eyes, the ones in the centre line of most roads.

east kent trim will also restore a mk3 cortina that was found in a field.

Whatever you do NEVER short change a bird of prey. Or a penguin for that matter.

To quote a friend who is a nurse specialising in accident rehab "anyone who thinks there was intelligent design hasn't studied the human spine".

Oh she is SO right , oh what I would give for a properly designed spine.

it only needs to be able to check the size and thus the denomination of coins , the date of issue is an irrelevance.

The way I see it with EKT is that they have been around for 15+ years i think.

They have a stand at Beaulieu, NEC plus other shows, non of which are cheap.

So if all they are banging out is krap i don't think they would still be in business any more.

However.

My one and only personal experience with them wasn't good.

I bought 4 door seals off them when restoring the Savage. £100

Fitted them and struggled to shut any of the doors.

Left the doors shut for a month hoping it would help. Nope.

Contacted EKT and all they said was that no-one else had had a problem and they wouldn't give me a refund.

Got the hump with the car for a year and did nothing to it.

JoeyGXL wanted some door seals for one of his MK3s, i said he could have mine for a good price if they fitted.

They fitted ok.

So in conclusion. :juggle:

I emailed East Kent Trim (using the email address from the suppliers list on here), eastkenttrim@aol.com -- for a full set of rubber and window bits for my '67 Mk2 Series 1.

No answer after a couple of tries -- is there a better email address? Difficult to call on the phone from here (SoCal).

Or, is there another "one stop" shop for all the gaskets/trim I need when I paint my car?

thanks guys

Would Aldridge Trimming have them?

I had the same problem. It took months and months before they were OK, and the force needed to close them in the meanwhile was excessive for the window frames, etc.

I suspect the reason they are still in business is the lack of competition. Woollies do the same rubber sections by the metre, but EKT have specific Cortina parts - e.g. mitred joints for door seals, 90' joints in rear window rubber.
