East Kent Trim?

Recommended Posts

Thing is MAC those window channels arnt made by EKT and are sold by loads of different trimmers and auto jumblers.

I don't recall MTOC ever being offered out test samples of their door rubbers or screen seals. :headscratch:

Has anyone from any of the other clubs been offered an out test sample? :juggle:

Not us the MKIIOC.

You should contact them and ask for samples as well then Ed - though I dont know if any of us would actually want to use any of their seals :headscratch:

The way I see it with EKT is that they have been around for 15+ years i think.

They have a stand at Beaulieu, NEC plus other shows, non of which are cheap.

So if all they are banging out is krap i don't think they would still be in business any more.

However.

My one and only personal experience with them wasn't good.

I bought 4 door seals off them when restoring the Savage. £100

Fitted them and struggled to shut any of the doors.

Left the doors shut for a month hoping it would help. Nope.

Contacted EKT and all they said was that no-one else had had a problem and they wouldn't give me a refund.

Got the hump with the car for a year and did nothing to it.

JoeyGXL wanted some door seals for one of his MK3s, i said he could have mine for a good price if they fitted.

They fitted ok.

So in conclusion. :juggle:

Corsair Club member had the same problems with door seals and rear screen rubber that had the bottom corners sitting 2 inches up the side of the glass when he complained he was told the Belgian Corsair Owners Club had no problems with them ? Who? Now I see on ebay they are selling rear screen rubbers to fit a Corsair but state they may need cutting to fit, so they are not Corsair are they? Having said all that I bought a pair of fixed front quarter light rubbers for my 2 door Corsair as no one else did them and thay are perfect!

No I wouldnt say they are Corsair either if " they may need cutting to fit " sounds like a recipe for a leaking rear screen to me.

They probably emailed to complain and the emails like Garm's got ignored

Been dealing with EKT for year's, I never order on line I go with a sample of what I need, never had a problem, even supplied him some patterns, he wants to re make mk3 2 door rear quarter rubbers, from my NOS one's, just worried if I'll see them again,, I know if your uupp nooorth it's a pain getting down, but one collecting for a few would make it worthwhile???

I think you should get them back Steve if you make it pretty explicit that they're not to lose them, perhaps try to get a couple of the new ones gratis of the loan of yours. I would buy a pair, as would/should every mk3 2dr owner, well worth it.

Those trims do look smart Macca, hope you're well.
