Jason 5 Posted April 11, 2016 I suppose that's where 'more modern' cars win out with their higher plastic content and many now have SATNAV / stubby style ariels fitted to the roof anyway. I was thinking where would be suitable on a car like a Mk1 /2 Cortina. I can't think of anywhere that's not blindingly obvious. :( Now; if you have a fibreglass bonnet / bootlid / wings for example though..... Jason. TIB3300 455 Posted May 14, 2016 (edited) Morning chaps just back from a week on the windy but nice flamborough head  I have receved a pm, from a BSC member regarding trackers,THANK YOU ! I recently had a web based tracker system fitted an Autowatch Track and Trace system through Global Telemetrics at a coast of £350 installed by an auto electrician plus annual fee of £124. The car is monitored 24 hour's a day. The owner will receive a phone call alert if battery is disconnected or vehicle moves without the engine running. I tested the system without warning the monitoring company and received a phone call within 5 minutes of vehicle moving. ✔ Car is constantly monitored and report available at anytime as to where the car has been, (also tested and confirmed). ✔ Via an app the monitoring company can be informed when the car is moving legitimately. http://www.autowatch...att1-system-van . J2S 169 Posted November 17, 2016 My vodaphone losses signal in a few places where I live and down the Cornwall way it was shocking coverage I'd not trust a gps tracker on its own cheap back up maybe
frankburns 1 Posted April 16, 2024 My MK3 came with a tracker fit by the previous owner. I just had to create an account and pay the subscription fee from the company who sold it to him which is very reasonable in my view. It's only been a couple of months but so far so good. If anyone needs an alternative to compare check them out https://www.tracetrax.com/car-gps-trackers/ .
